GED®

Earn Your GED®

Millions of people have passed the GED® test and gone on to college and better jobs. You can be one of them.

In the State of Delaware, the GED® is recognized as a secondary credential but not a high school diploma. The GED® test is aligned with the Common Core standards and is delivered online.

Students who wish to prepare for the GED® test may attend any adult education center’s orientation for assessment. Students will take an entry assessment and may be placed into a refresher course before working on GED® curriculum.

Once enrolled in the GED® class, students will focus on the skills needed to earn the GED®, including computer skills to help them prepare to take the test online.

The GED® test covers 4 subjects: Math, Science, Social Studies, and Reasoning Through Language Arts. You can take all 4 together or one at a time at an official GED® test center when you’re ready.
